The heavy-duty profil 45 shaper assembly is designed in every detail based on many years of machine design experience and production facilities featuring the high­est level of modern technology.
Designed for industrial use, the dual dovetail trunnion allows precise tilting of the shaper assembly ensuring complete accuracy and maximum stability. A dovetail system is also used for precise height settings.

With the knobs located on the control panel, you can obtain the desired spindle height and angle setting with fast and creep speed functions. The adjusted values can be easily read on the red LED display. This is a valuable standard feature and assures user friendliness of the highest standard.

The ultimate in convenience! The 2 axis CNC-control option allows the user to enter the desired position and let the machine do all the work. This option also allows you to store up to 99 pre-set programs. This feature is a sure time saver!

We can also optionally install your Format-4 profil 45 with “Digi-Drive” control all in a control panel at eye level.

For unlimited use of your new tilting shaper profil 45, additional support is obtained by the shaper quick-change system. You may use shaper spindles with pre-mounted moulding tools for moulding in series, but also spindles of various diameters. Spindle changes can be done in a few seconds.

The high-speed router spindle is designed for router shaft diameters of Ø ¼”–½” and with a speed of 16,000 rpm at full motor power of up to 10 HP.

Hardened anodized aluminum fence plates are standard. Precise, fine adjustment on the remov­able shaper fence via a scale from –.4” to +1.38” (–10 to 35 mm).

A necessity for the quick change of tooling or spindles and for curved work.

The dual dust extraction for shaper via the shaper fence and the chip collecting bin under the cutter ensure that the machine remains clean and good working results are obtained.

The large table opening allows for maximum operator safety. For large dimension tooling, as used for tennoning and panel raising, the cutter can be conveniently positioned below the table.

On FORMAT-4 tilting shapers, a sliding table is standard equipment. Robustly designed and prepared for a high loading capacity, the sliding table “hovers” on X-ROLL, the brand new high tech guiding system.
The X – configuration of the roller bearings (X-ROLL) always optimally distributes the work piece weight to all sides.

Optional: The 51” (1300 mm) outrigger table has a very large surface area, increasing the support when processing larger pieces. The workpiece roller at the end of the table helps to load larger pieces without causing any damage When combined with a 98” (2500 mm) tennoning table, large doors or windows can easily be manufactured

The safety bar guides, great for “end-grain” work (optional).
